This work is a profound visual exploration of identity and transformation, realized through a series of portraits featuring eight characters portrayed by Anjasmara. Collaborating with Anjasmara as the central subject allows for the capture of diverse personas, ranging from his real-life roles as a producer and yoga instructor, to characters he has previously embodied (Cecep, Dion, Puspa), as well as representations of iconic figures such as Soekarno, Charlie Chaplin, and John Lennon.
Each character represents a rich spectrum of personality and creative journey. This work invites the audience to delve into the complexity of human identity, highlighting Anjasmara’s ability to bring multiple roles to life while simultaneously reawakening collective memory of the powerful characters he has portrayed throughout his career.
